Sunday will see a few bright or short sunny spells but will be mostly cloudy overall with outbreaks of rain.
There will be some good dry periods during the afternoon but persistent rain may develop towards evening. Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees in light to moderate mainly westerly breezes.
Outbreaks of rain will clear on Sunday night allowing clear spells to develop. Temperatures will fall to between 0 and 3 degrees with a touch of frost possible. Winds will become mainly light northerly.
Monday will be largely dry at first but outbreaks of rain will spread during the afternoon and evening turning heavy at times after dark and falling as sleet, with snow mainly on northern hills.
Afternoon highs of 3 to 6 degrees with light to moderate easterly winds freshening in the evening.
