Lee Carsley finishes up as England manager today
Paul Robinson is looking to follow up his 11/2 Daily Acca win from yesterday with a 9/2 treble from the Nations League.
England can secure promotion back to League A of the Nations League with a win over Ireland today, and while I expect them to do so, I can’t see it being a high-scoring affair.
Lee Carsley bids farewell to the England dugout, and while his last three matches have all finished with at least three goals, his first two did not.
The Irish have won two and lost three of their five outings, and win, lose or draw at Wembley, they will finish in third place. Only one of their five have gone Over 2.5, and Heimir Hallgrímsson will set up his team to keep it extremely tight.
Like England, Austria know that victory today will guarantee them promotion to League A, and it’s very hard to see them slipping up at home to Slovenia.
The visitors managed to hold Austria in the reverse fixture back in September, but they have fallen to two heavy defeats to Norway since, while the selection have just won three on the bounce – including a 5-1 thrashing of the aforementioned Norwegians.
During the Euros, Austria beat both Poland and Holland, and Ralf Rangnick’s men are scoring goals for fun at present.
These two teams have already qualified for the quarter-finals, and unless France win by two or more goals, it’s Italy who will top Group A2.
Following an underwhelming Euros defence, Luciano Spalletti’s men have been excellent in this competition – taking 13 points from a possible 15.
Four of their five matches have finishing with both teams to score backers collecting, and the same can be said for three of the French’s five – including their 1-3 loss in the reverse fixture in Paris.
