The participation rate at around 35% at 2 p.m.

The Senegalese legislative vote continues with a participation rate estimated at around 35% at 2 p.m. Based on a sample of 553 control polling stations spread across the country, the supervision platform set up by the Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) analyzed the progress of electoral operations.

  • Offices open on time : 93,2 %
  • Complete electoral material : 99,1 %
  • Normal voting procedure : 98,76 %
  • Presence of security : 95,66 %

These statistics indicate a generally satisfactory start to the elections on an organizational level, despite some minor delays reported in certain centers. However, the participation rate remains a major concern, particularly in areas where attendance remains low. Observers are questioning the impact of this dynamic on the final results, as voters continue to head to the polls until voting closes.
