the times and places of gatherings this Monday in our departments

French farmers are mobilizing tomorrow throughout against the trade agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur countries (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay). They denounce unfair competition, particularly on beef, produced with less strict environmental and health standards than those of the EU. According to agricultural unions, this opening of the market risks lowering the prices of local products and endangering French agriculture, particularly in mountain areas.

Organizations like FDSEA and Young Farmers are calling for demonstrations in several regions to express their opposition to the agreement and demand protection measures for European farmers. They also highlight the negative environmental impact, notably deforestation in the Amazon, linked to the expansion of agricultural land for soy and livestock.
