A huge uproar after a famous broadcaster was arrested due to a “drug that rapes girls”

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the details of the arrest of the famous program presenter and blogger Dalia Fouad (39 years old), who was arrested with a foreigner on charges of trafficking in the drug GHB, known as the “drug that rapes girls.”

Process details

Investigations revealed that the foreign defendant was importing the drug through websites abroad, and after purchasing it, it was shipped to another country before being smuggled to Egypt. The Ministry of Interior explained that the accused used elaborate camouflage methods, as he packed the drug in containers bearing the labels of a cleaning company, with the aim of misleading the authorities during the smuggling operation.

Drug seizure

The authorities were able to arrest the accused in possession of 180 liters of GHB, which is considered one of the most dangerous types of drugs used to target young men and women. After his arrest, the accused confessed to his criminal activity related to smuggling and promoting drugs to achieve illegal profits.

Dalia Fouad is in the hands of security forces

During the investigations, Dalia Fouad, who is considered one of those dealing with the foreign accused, was arrested. She was found in possession of narcotic substances that she used for trafficking and abuse. Dalia is one of the prominent figures on social media and a well-known program presenter, which caused great shock among her followers.

Risks associated with GHB

GHB is a dangerous substance that is used illegally to target girls and young men. Its strong effect causes the victim to lose consciousness. For this reason, it is called the “rape drug.” It also makes the victim unable to remember, in addition to its traces disappearing from the blood and urine after 24 hours. Only an hour after taking it, which makes trafficking in it a serious crime that threatens societal security.
