Clement Noel ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR) and Loic Meillard (SUI). This is the result of the first men’s slalom of the winter. While Kristoffersen was able to gain a whopping 9 places in the final, Noel achieved a dominant victory. The Frenchman was 80 hundredths ahead of the competition at the finish. For Noel it is the first victory in Levi.
In third place, Meillard is already 95 hundredths behind Noel, who took a half-time lead to the finish for the first time in 6 races. For comebacker Lucas Braathen (BRA), the race ended in 4th place. This meant he fared significantly better than Marcel Hirscher (NED), who clearly did not qualify for the final.
So he had something in common with the Azzurri. Not a single (!) athlete managed to take part in the second Levi run. From a South Tyrolean perspective, the trip to Lapland ended on a sobering note. Alex Vinatzer was eliminated, Tobias Kastlunger was too slow for the final.
