While a fire raged this morning of November 16 on the A1 motorway near Roberval, the fire and rescue services deployed significant resources with more than fifty firefighters on site. A hydrocarbon fire is believed to be the cause of the impressive plume of smoke visible several kilometers away. It is true that the intervention took place at the height of the viaduct and therefore even more visible for miles around. For emergency services, the most important thing is that there are no victims. For some reason that remains to be determined, a heavy weight lay on its side. Transporting flammable materials, the fire broke out and quickly spread throughout the trailer. The hydrocarbon products left significant streaks on the roadway, causing deformation of the asphalt. It is also necessary to clear the wrecks still weighing several tonnes. These are some of the reasons that make the intervention complex and therefore… quite long.

Traffic is still diverted via Pont-Sainte-Maxence, this time causing major traffic jams. At 6 p.m., traffic had not yet been restored on the portion of the A1 and at Pont-Sainte-Maxence, we strongly hope that it will be quickly since tonight or more precisely early Sunday night , the fairgrounds and traders of the traditional Pont fair will settle down. This fair occupies a good part of the current crossing of the city, the RD 1017.

The residents of Roberval located below the A1 motorway viaduct were woken up early this Saturday, November 16 around 8 a.m. as emergency services responded in large numbers to a traffic accident.

The accident occurred in the direction and required the closure of part of the highway. Traffic was diverted upstream and downstream of the town.

Following the accident involving several vehicles, one of the light vehicles caught fire. The intervention was quick, but the traffic had to be diverted outside the motorway network. It is therefore via Pont-Sainte-Maxence that the load shedding route was put in place. Heavy goods vehicles were invited to pass through and the RD 1016 so as not to overly congest the RD 1017 and the crossing of Pont-Sainte-Maxence complicated by the bottleneck of the bridge spanning the Oise.

Traffic, although on weekends, is particularly dense in the Verberie, Pontpoint, Roberval, Pont-Sainte-Maxence sector and, to a lesser extent, on the RD 1016 and the Creil Villers-Saint-Paul area.

The intervention is still on at the end of the morning.

Sanef confirms the closure of traffic in the Lille – Paris direction. The intervention of specific technical services is major since the vehicle fire occurred on the traffic lane, potentially weakening the traffic lane.
