No surprises concerning the Ligue 2 clubs this Saturday during the 7th round of the Coupe de France. While FC, and AC all three left this Friday, the other teams in the championship did not tremble. Well almost. At the opening, traveling to (1-3), to (0-4) and Metz to Obernai (0-3) validated their ticket. Stade Malherbe did not take long to take the lead against its opponent playing in National 3. Brahimi and Le Bihan gave two goals in advance in less than 10 minutes. The club's top scorer, Alexandre Mendy scored the third goal before Brahimi's double in the 39th minute. For its part, Pau took advantage of Mboup's double and a goal from Boutaib to win. The Grenats waited until the hour mark before dominating Obernai, but Ibou and Sadibou Sane scored as did Elisor.

Grenoble suffered at 10

Other residents of Ligue 2 had more difficulty validating their qualification. This is the case of Dunkerque, third in its championship which failed to make the difference after regulation time in Béthune (R1). A penalty shootout concluded 7 to 6 in favor of the Maritimes. Same fight for Amiens. After Dao's equalizer following the opening score of Fleury-Mérogis (N2), the Picards did not tremble by registering their five shots and thus validating their ticket. Finally, Grenoble experienced an eventful evening. For the reception of Villefranche playing one level below GF38, the meeting started very badly. In the 28th minute, Grenoble captain Gaetan Paquiez was sent off for a touch in the face of a Villefranche player. A voluntary gesture according to the referee synonymous with a red card. At 10, Grenoble managed to open the scoring through Ba before Villefranche equalized through Diakité 20 minutes from the end of the match. In an unbearable penalty shootout, Doucoure had to miss his team's 11th shot – the second shot missed by the player in the session – to allow Grenoble to qualify.
