About 20,000 visitors are expected at the national arrival of Sinterklaas in Vianen tomorrow. Parents and children who welcome Santa and his helpers there around noon will probably stay dry.
It will be cloudy in Vianen tomorrow and there will be a moderate southwest wind. It will be chilly on the quays along which the packet boat will appear: the temperature in the fortified town is expected to remain at around 8 or 9 degrees. This makes it slightly colder than the past few days. A warm coat is not an unnecessary luxury for expectant spectators.
“All in all, no weather that the organizers of the parade have to worry about,” says NOS weatherman Marco Verhoef.
Marco Verhoef rhymed the weather forecast for enthusiasts:
The arrival of Saint Nicholas: sun, rain or wind?
It will not always remain dry during arrivals elsewhere in the country this weekend. Heavy showers may occur, especially on Sunday, possibly with hail or thunder.
Between the showers the sun will shine occasionally on Sunday. The wind is moderate inland and can be strong at sea with gusts of up to 75 kilometers per hour.
