Youabed revealed that the current weather condition in Morocco is characterized by the effect of an air depression known as “Dana” over the Iberian Peninsula, accompanied by cold air masses in the upper layers of the atmosphere, and that this depression was formed as a result of the rush of a cold air mass that separated from the jet stream in those layers, which It led to a state of atmospheric instability in southern Spain, and this caused heavy rains and strong thunderstorms as a result of the meeting of a warm and humid air mass coming from the Mediterranean Sea with cold air in the upper layers, and this The variation in temperature and humidity contributed to the formation of rising air currents and led to heavy rainfall, especially in the city of Malaga, which recorded 180 mm of rain during the past 24 hours.

As for the impact of this depression on our country, according to Yoabed, it is always less severe, and the impact remains limited to the form of weak to moderate rain without rising to the level of atmospheric instability that characterized southern Spain.
