Queen Paola missed the Te Deum this Friday morning. Her daughter, Princess Astrid, gave reassuring news.
Queen Paola, victim of a fall last week, did not attend the Te Deum, on the occasion of King’s Day, in the Cathedral of Saints-Michel-et-Gudule, located in the heart of the capital, this Friday. Princess Claire was also absent.
King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and their four children were not present at the Te Deum, tradition requiring that the King not celebrate himself.
For her part, Queen Paola was put to rest after suffering a fall in early November. Before the ceremony, Princess Astrid gave news of her mother. “ She is still in the south of France, it was too complicated to move her here », Specified Princess Astrid to our colleagues at Laatste Nieuws.
She also added: “ We’re going to celebrate a bit of Christmas together. It wasn’t too bad but she couldn’t move. »
