Cristiano Ronaldo (39) is the player with the most victories as an international player ever. The 5-1 win over Poland, in which the experienced superstar played a major role with two goals, was his 132nd victory, putting him over Sergio Ramos.
Rafael Leão broke the spell for Portugal after sixty minutes by scoring the 1-0 on a pass from Nuno Mendes. With eighteen minutes left on the clock, Ronaldo scored his 109th international goal by converting his penalty with half a Panenka.
Eight minutes later, Bruno Fernandes scored convincingly about twenty meters from the goal, by shooting in via the underside of the crossbar. It marked his fifth goal in his last five official matches for Portugal and Manchester United. Three minutes later, Pedro Neto made it 4-0 on a pass from Ronaldo.

However, the Portuguese final agreement was for Ronaldo again. On a pass from Vitinha, he scored an absolute world goal just before the end by finishing with a bicycle kick at the far post. The home team was apparently still enjoying Ronaldo’s goal and did not pay attention, allowing Poland to put the 5-1 on the scoreboard via Dominik Marczuk.

Portugal wins group 1 in Nations League A with thirteen points from the first five games. The group will end on Monday with an away match at current number two Croatia. Thanks to his two goals tonight, Ronaldo now holds all the records. In both the Champions League and for Portugal, he now has the most goals, most games played and most games won.
Croatia lost with ten men on Friday evening when they visited Scotland. At Hampden Park there was a 1-0 final score on the scoreboard after ninety minutes. John McGinn scored the only goal of the match just before the end. Ajax player Josip Sutalo played the full ninety minutes in Scotland, while PSV player Ivan Perisic came on halfway through the second half.
Due to Croatia’s defeat, the battle for second place in Nations League A Group 1 promises to be an exciting one on Monday. Croatia has a three-point lead over numbers three and four Poland and Scotland, who will face each other in Warsaw on Monday. If Croatia loses at home to group winner Portugal, Scotland can still claim second place with a victory over Poland.
Poland is eliminated due to a negative result against the Croats. They lost 2-1 away, while they drew 3-3 at home against the team of Sutalo and Perisic.

San Marino saved a point in injury time of the match against Gibraltar. In a match marred by incompetence, Croatian referee Igor Pajac handed out no fewer than ten yellow cards. Both goals also came from penalties. After eleven minutes Liam Walker opened the scoring, after which Nicola Nanni repeated the trick just before the end.
Gibraltar was on its way to group victory in Nations League D Group 1 for a long time. Virtually, they were on eight points until the 92nd minute, meaning that the dwarf state under Spain could no longer be overtaken by San Marino and Liechtenstein.
However, because San Marino equalized in the final phase, Gibraltar is still dependent on its opponent on Friday evening for the group phase. If San Marino wins on Monday evening when they visit Liechtenstein, they will be crowned group winners. The kick-off at the Rheinpark Stadium in Vaduz is scheduled for 8:45 p.m.
