The head coach of Switzerland, Murat Jakin, said before the match against Serbia that he expects respect from the Serbian fans.
The players of Serbia visit Switzerland on Friday at 20:45 in the fifth round of the League of Nations, and Murat Jakin announced the match.
The coach of Switzerland said that he expects the Serbian fans not to whistle during the singing of the opponent’s national anthem.
“We want the respect of Serbian fans. We hope that we will not be booed during the national anthem, as was the case in Leskovac”, said Murat Jakin, as reported by the Swiss “Blik”.
Jakin alluded to the first match between these rivals in the League of Nations, where Serbia won 2:0.
The Eagles will try to get another victory against Switzerland, which would bring them closer to qualifying for the playoffs.
“Nothing but victory suits us. We have to play aggressively from the first second. Emotions are needed against Serbia, not only from Granit Xhaka,” Jakin said.
Serbia is currently third in the table of the fourth group A of the League of Nations with four points, Switzerland has one, Denmark seven and Spain 10.
