Sánchez said rescue workers from Morocco, Portugal and France were on the ground helping with relief efforts in Valencia.
“In these difficult weeks for Spain due to the storm, international and European solidarity has been enormous”, insisted the head of the Spanish government in a message on the social network X. “All of Spain thanks you”, he added.
Following the floods which ravaged several regions of Spain, King Mohammed VI gave instructions to the Minister of the Interior to speak by telephone with his Spanish counterpart and inform him of Morocco’s full readiness to dispatch rescue teams and to provide all the necessary assistance to Spain to deal with this natural disaster.
Thus, an exceptional Moroccan convoy, mobilizing 24 pumper trucks and 70 operators, arrived in Spain on Wednesday to support relief efforts and come to the aid of the Valencia region, seriously affected by storm Dana.
