A depression will approach France, bringing stronger winds. The gusts may blow strongly, generating a gale. Find out the weather forecast.
The anticyclonic period that we have known for several days and even weeks will give way to much more disrupted weather. The wave of depressions will appear, accentuating the risk of gales. Overview of the weather forecast for the start of next week.
Modeling in agreement
To develop weather forecasts, it is best to look at multiple atmospheric models. If we refer to two main models, American and European, we see that they do indeed opt forarrival (or at least the approach) of a depression influencing the northern then southern half of France.
Arriving by Sunday evening and especially during the day of Monday, this low pressure area would be accompanied by regular precipitation in the far north of Hauts-de-France. These will tend to reach the entire northern half of the country by Monday evening.
As a bonus, the wind gusts will already be moderate between Sunday and Monday afternoon. This will actually accentuate the very autumnal feeling. It is however by the evening and night current from Monday to Tuesday and Tuesday morning we should observe the strongest gusts of wind.
Gale
Along the Channel coastswind gusts could reach the 80 to 90km/hor even occasionally more at the start of the night from Monday to Tuesday. Inland (north of the Loire), the winds will be moderate to strong with values of around 40 to 70km/h.
Later during the night, the winds may increase across the entire northern half of the country. For example, gusts reaching 60 to 80 km/h are expected inland.
During the day on Tuesday, weather conditions will remain choppy in France. Wind gusts will still be present, generally between 50 and 60-70km/h. On the Vosges massif, peaks of 100km/h remain possible as well as along the Channel coasts.
This very windy weather should initially spare the south-eastern quarter with less marked winds. A second depression is still expected by Thursday or even Friday.
Remaining depressed
After the first gale at the very beginning of the week (followed by a drop in temperatures), another depression should bring stronger winds this time especially in the southern and eastern half of the country.
A weather situation which will therefore remain turbulent throughout the coming week. Please keep an eye out for future updates. in order to provide more precision regarding future bad weather.
