Israel: more than 40 arrests took place during the match at the Stade de France

Interpellations which did not disrupt the smooth running of the match. The day after the France-Israel meeting (0-0) at the Stade de France, the Paris Police Prefect, Laurent Nunez, praised the effectiveness of the security system put in place on Friday on France 2: “The match “went very well from a security point of view,” he said. However, a fight broke out in the stands, but it was quickly brought under control by the stewards and the police, with two arrests, one during the match and the other after analyzing the videos: “The incident was contained very quickly and there was no more afterward,” said Laurent Nunez. According to the AFP, there were ultimately more than 40 arrests, giving rise to around twenty people in police custody. Despite this, the prefect welcomed the smooth running of the evening in terms of security and, despite a match without much spectacle, stressed: “France never gives up.”
