Tate McRae Announces New Album 'So Close To What' and 'Miss Possessive' on 2025 World Tour

Tate McRae has announced her new album 'So Close To What' as well as details of her 2025 'Miss Possessive' world tour – check it out below.

Scheduled for release on February 21, 2025, the album is expected to represent “the journey of growing up when the road ahead seems endless and the destination increasingly elusive” and be “an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love and the search for balance in times of uncertainty.

“So Close To What” is available for pre-save/pre-order here. The album will be available in various formats, including an exclusive vinyl featuring one of four collectible signed poster variations, a signed CD, and a cassette, all available while supplies last at McRae's official online store .

The “Greedy” singer will also embark on a world tour next year. Dubbed the 'Miss Possessive' tour, the massive 50-date tour will see the singer travel across South America, Europe, the UK and North America.

The tour kicks off on March 18, 2025 in Mexico City at the Pepsi Center, with concerts in São Paulo, London, Amsterdam, Prague, New York, Nashville and more before concluding in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum on September 26, 2025. Benee will serve as opening support for all dates in Europe and the UK while Zara Larsson will join the “Its Ok, I'm Ok” singer for all dates in the US and Canada.

A pre-sale of tickets will be available to all American Express cardholders starting Tuesday, November 19. The tour will also offer a VIP package and fan experience that will include premium tickets, access to the pre-show soundcheck + Q&A, VIP merchandise, early entry and much more. “So Close To What” follows McRae’s second studio album, “Think Later.” In a four-star review of the LP, ZikNation shared: “McRae is obviously still struggling with his ambitions. “Think Later,” however, contains enough intrigue to suggest that this is the work of an artist finally refining his identity, dancing and fizzing all the way.

Additionally, the singer recently joined Troye Sivan on stage during Sivan and Charli .
