According to the statement, Romoos impresses with projects to promote gentle tourism, with the support of the local population and the renovation of the Hotel Kreuz emphasizing the cultural connection. Sandro Bucher, tourism manager at Biosphere Entlebuch, was pleased with the recognition. “The fact that the local population supports our authentic, integrative tourism was recently impressively confirmed by their great commitment to financing the renovation of the Hotel Kreuz. It’s great that the Romoos makers are now receiving this international appreciation and recognition.”
The award, presented in Cartagena, Colombia, gives the village international visibility and media campaigns. The community is planning a celebration at the community meeting on November 29th. (rem)
