Nathalie Oziol, deputy of La France insoumise-Nouveau Popular Front of Hérault, and Gaëtan Dussausaye, deputy of Rassemblement national des Vosges, were the guests of the 11 a.m./1 p.m. duel on franceinfo, Thursday November 14.
As part of the League of Nations, a France-Israel football match will be held at the Stade de France on the evening of Thursday, November 14. Emmanuel Macron and Michel Barnier are among the political figures who will attend this match.
Are they right to go there? “Non”responds Nathalie Oziol, La France insoumise-Nouveau Popular Front (LFI-NFP) deputy for Hérault, on franceinfo. “First of all, it is scandalous and unworthy that this match is being held. We are in a context of genocide, colonization in the West Bank and the generalization of the conflict in Lebanon”she laments. “It's quite humiliating to see the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the former presidents rushing to this match, while a week ago, two French gendarmes were arrested by the Israeli police on territories which fall under the French authority in Jerusalem, adds Nathalie Oziol.
Saying “deeply shocked” by the words of the LFI-NFP deputy, Gaëtan Dussausaye, National Rally (RN) deputy for Vosges, adds on franceinfo that they “does not surprise him, given the behavior that has been that of LFI and the far left of Jean-Luc Mélenchon for months and years on the question of anti-Semitism”. “In reality, this match has a strong symbolic value, because it takes place a few days after violent and anti-Semitic attacks in Amsterdam” in the Netherlands, says MP RN.
