BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – RAIN AMOUNTS YESTERDAY: Our local rain amounts from Wednesday generally ranged from one to two inches with a few spots receiving a bit more. Lafayette ended up with two to four inches of rain!
SUNSHINE RETURNS
Today, some parts of the viewing area will start with fog, then it will become mainly sunny and nice with highs in the mid 70s and a light breeze out of the north.
COLD AIR STARTING TONIGHT
Tonight, forecast lows will get down to the upper 40s, so you will want to bundle up tomorrow morning. Lows look to stay cool the next few days.
FULL MOON
Don’t forget to check out the full Beaver Supermoon, which peaks tomorrow, but can be viewed tonight and tomorrow night. It is the final supermoon of the year!
EYEING THE TROPICS
Tropical Depression Nineteen has formed and is expected to become Tropical Storm Sara. There is uncertainty in the track, but many models put the storm in the Gulf next week. Stay tuned.
EXTENDED FORECAST
We look forward to a beautiful weekend, but the nights and mornings will be on the cold side. The next rain chance will be Monday through midweek next week, but they are small chances.
