“I already know everything but I won’t tell you anything”

Zverev acts mysterious

It was another good performance by Alexander Zverev against Casper Ruud, even if the German “can’t remember ever seeing the Norwegian serve like that against him”, as he told with amazement in the press conference. Strangely, there has not yet been any singles match that ended in the third set (only one in doubles), but Sascha has an explanation: “it doesn’t mean that if you face the 8 best in the world the matches always have to be close, a sometimes one can dominate much more than the other”.

One of the curiosities of these days in Turin is that Zverev, in his first two matches, always stayed training until late. “It’s not a question of today or tomorrow, but I’m already preparing for next season. I want to improve further to be able to compete with Sinner and Alcaraz, who are the two points of reference for now. They are the ones who win the Slams and I want to join the group.” At the end of the conference, the German revealed that he already knew the future of the ATP Finals: “but I won’t tell you whether they will stay in Turin or not. I know what will happen from 2026 onwards, but I will not be your source” – he concluded amid laughter.
