In the final moments of the Boston Celtics 117-116 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night on the opening night of the Emirates NBA Cup, an inbounds pass from Jrue Holiday was missed by Jayson Tatum, turning it over to Atlanta with just seconds remaining in the game. The Celtics would get the ball back on a nice defensive play by Jaylen Brown who would ultimately miss the last-second, go-ahead and potential game-winning shot, giving the team their third loss of the season.

Speaking to reporters following the loss in Boston, Tatum spoke on a variety of topics, most importantly stating that even after appearing to aggravate his ankle injury, he would play in Wednesday night’s game against Brooklyn.

He also spoke on the inbounds play and put the blame on himself, citing that he needs to come up with that pass.

Tatum and the Celtics will have the opportunity for a quick turnaround as they face the Brooklyn Nets on the second night of a back-to-back, looking to extend their road winning streak to five games.
