Suspended prison sentence for ASBH rugby player

#BEZIERS This Wednesday, Taleta Tupuola, ASBH rugby player, was sentenced by the Béziers court to fourteen months of suspended imprisonment. The public prosecutor had requested eighteen. After returning from an evening, where he had drunk a lot of alcohol, he violently hit his wife and was tried for domestic violence.

On the stand, he admitted the facts which took place in front of their 3-year-old child. His partner was taken to hospital, where, among other things, she had sixteen stitches placed on her scalp. He was notified of total incapacity for work (ITT) for six days. Admitting a problem with alcohol, the New Zealander admitted to consuming it after matches and sometimes on weekends, “without being able to stop” when it starts.

He also asked the court for help to fight his addiction: “My family is everything to me, a regretté Taleta Tupoola. I didn't know that my son was watching the scene. My heart broke when I found out he saw everything.”

Cora leaves, Carrefour arrives

#LOZÈRE This is, in millions of euros, the amount of the project for the future Business and Skills campus of the CCI Lozère, the first stone of which was laid yesterday in Mende in the presence of Carole Delga, regional president.

#HERAULT Art Montpellier, a major event for contemporary art in Occitania, is back. The Mediterranean Contemporary Arts Fair opens this Thursday at the Parc des Expositions in Pérols.

The theme of this 8th edition, “Geometries, colors and abstractions”, well illustrates the abundance of works exhibited on the stands of the sixty gallery owners and publishers present. The masters of free figuration Hervé Di Rosa, Robert Combas, François Boisrond are presented on several stands. The fair is not, however, reserved only for wealthy collectors. Everyone can find a work within their means.
