This Wednesday, November 13, 2024, TMC broadcasts in the first part of the evening, at 8:25 p.m., the show Michel Denisot doesn't like birthdays which celebrates the twenty years of Grand Journal – yet broadcast on Canal+. If Michel Denisot was not the only host of the program, he was the first and only to last so long (from 2004 to 2013) on the program of the talk show, each number of which was an event.
Michel Denisot unveils the program for the anniversary show
The presenter doesn't like birthdays, therefore, but still happily accepted Yann Barthès' invitation. “It made me happy that it came from people I worked with and who worked with me. (…) It was very touching, obviously, to find everyone, the whole team from the Grand Journal. There is Gad Elmaleh who was the first guest in 2004… He was the first godfather of the show and, as soon as he arrived on set, he said: 'I came because I watched yesterday and it' was good!'. So there we were, starting off… There was also Omar Sy who arrived in the middle of the show. He put on a show as he knows the secret. There are also archives that we have forgotten“, announced Michel Denisot in We're doing TV again on RTL, as reported in preview by Puremedias.
Antoine de Caune less nostalgic than Michel Denisot
“The tone was not the same 20 or 40 years ago on television, we had a certain freedom of tone which is more restricted today. There are 2, 3 extracts that are a little scratchy…“, adds Michel Denisot, who refused to be Emmanuel Macron's minister. A feeling not shared by Antoine de Caunes, who a few days ago celebrated the 40th anniversary of Canal+ on the encrypted channel. “It's a word that is not part of my vocabulary. It embarrasses me even when I am taken back to the past, because I am interested in what will happen today and tomorrow. I sometimes feel little bouts of melancholy when thinking back to very happy days, but I'm wary of nostalgia like the plague because it's quite a sticky thing that pulls you back“, declared the actor in the columns of Madame Figaro.
