Welcome » Sport » CAN 2025 (Q): “It’s very complicated to have…”, Marc Brys explains the Lions’ draw

Cameroon concedes the draw against Namibia (0-0), on the occasion of the 5th day of the CAN 2025 qualifiers. A performance to forget.

Already assured of participating in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon was content with a goalless draw against Namibia this Wednesday, during the 5th day of qualifying in Group J. If the Lions Indomitables were aiming for a victory to establish their domination over the group, they came up against a compact and eye-catching Namibia. Despite several attempts by Vincent Aboubakar and Cameroon failed to find the fault, lacking precision in the last gesture.

“It’s very complicated to have training with eleven players when you know that they will not be the starting 11. We only trained on little things. So you see, you lose a lot of automation and the standard situation is not up to date because we didn’t have the time. We’re just four, five days into the trip. […] For this, we must therefore be satisfied with this point […] The only lesson we need to learn is that this will never happen again. So it is advice to the administration that this never happens again,” said Marc Brys.
