Au Mans (Sarthe), the surroundings of the station d’essence of the commercial areas of Auchan, ZI north, have been blocked since the beginning of the morning of this Tuesday November 12, 2024. THE gendarmes prohibit access to the service station. A accident truck spilled a corrosive product in the parking lot.

A truck loses corrosive product

Shortly before 9 a.m., a truck carrying Hazardous Material hit a wall. A corrosive product was spilled onto the roadway.

THE firefighters are under intervention.

The police quickly set up a security perimeter to prevent access. Around twenty soldiers are mobilized.

34 firefighters including those of the chemical cell are on the scene. The intervention is still in progress.

Difficult traffic in the commercial area

This Tuesday morning, the access to this part of the commercial area were blocked by law enforcement. There circulation is therefore difficile near the Auchan hypermarket.
