The Alpes-Maritimes on “Snow-ice” alert this Tuesday: here is what awaits us

After the rains, storms, snow and ice… This Tuesday, November 12, be careful on the roads. Météo has placed the Alpes-Maritimes department on yellow alert for “Snow-Ice”.

Vigilance will be required between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Tuesday.

Snow, from 1200m altitude

On the coast, rain will be expected, in the east of the department and risks of storms are expected in , and Touët-de-l'Escarène.

Snow should also appear near Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée. The avalanche risk is level 1.

On the relief, Météo France predicts snowfall from 1,200 m altitude, whitening the ground from 1,300 meters.

In the morning, it is expected to be unsettled with overcast skies and sometimes heavy precipitation, and also stormy weather near the coast. In the afternoon, the rains ease in the east of the PACA region.

The northeast wind on the Côte d'Azur will blow up to 70 to 90 km/h. Minimum temperatures will range from 8 to 12 degrees near the Mediterranean. The maximums will range from 13 to 17 degrees near the Mediterranean.
