This cold drop comes to us from Germany. It plunges towards the Mediterranean and Spain while passing through France. Under its influence, the weather promises to be unstable with a few showers, wind in the Mediterranean and snow in the mid-mountains this Tuesday before a rapid improvement for the rest of the week. To the north, due to the lifting of the north wind, the gray weather is a little less tenacious and we can hope for some clearing.
Change in weather this Tuesday with the passage of a cold drop
After a fairly calm Monday, the anticyclone retreats towards the Atlantic under the pressure of a cold drop which plunges from Germany towards Spain. It brings showers to 2/3 of the country and stormy rains in Provence-Alpes -Côte d'Azur as well as in Corsica. In the north-west, it is the end of the tunnel of gray with the return of some clearing thanks to the lifting of the north wind which cools the atmosphere.
Wednesday, return to dry land except in Roussillon
The influence of the cold drop will be felt in the Pyrénées-Orientales. This precipitation may take on a stormy character. It will snow from 1200 meters in the mountains. Everywhere else, it will be a return to calm with some clearing, but also many clouds in the north. Small showers will water the Channel coasts.
A calm and cool weekend, except in the southeast
Temperatures will be below seasonal averages. The weather is expected to be variable over most of the country, cloudier in the north than in the south. It is near the Mediterranean that conditions are expected to be the most unstable again with rain coming up from Spain, which could take on a stormy character in Languedoc-Roussillon.
