Commemorating November 11 in Paris, the Paris police headquarters has installed a security perimeter in several streets in the 7th, 8th, 16th and 17th centuries. As part of this zone, parking and traffic restriction measures will come into force from this Sunday and Monday “to ensure the smooth running of this event as well as the safety of the public and participants”.
In addition to these surface restrictions, there are those underground since several metro stations and one RER station will be closed this Monday, from dawn. As RATP indicates on its website, six stations are affected: Boissière (line 6), Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau (lines 1 and 13), Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (RER A, lines 1, 2 and 6) , Franklin D. Roosevelt (lines 1 and 9), George V (line 1), Kléber (line 6).

“Connections in these stations will be impossible,” specifies the group. Closed as soon as the network is put into service, they will then only reopen with “authorization from the police headquarters,” RATP told Actu Paris.
On the occasion of this ceremony, two protection perimeters were installed and will be active from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., indicates the police headquarters in a decree. A first in the Arc de Triomphe sector and a second in the Rond-point des Champs-Élysées sector, at the bottom of the avenue. Access and movement of people will be subject to controls.
To reach or travel in these areas, people will be required to undergo checks: security pat-downs, vehicle searches, etc.
