Inter fans ignore Conte, insult Lukaku
He refused to join the club permanently in the summer of 2023, ruining his relationship with the fans and his ex-teammates, including Lautaro Martinez.
When Lukaku returned to San Siro with Roma last season, Inter fans brought thousands of whistles to the stadium to give a harsh welcome to their former hero.
Some did the same tonight, but most Inter fans welcomed Lukaku with insulting chants that started before kick-off outside the Meazza.
During the shooting practice in the warm-up, Inter supporters waited for Lukaku’s turn to start whistling and celebrated when he didn’t find the net.
They also put pressure on their ex-striker during the game by booing every time he touched the ball.
