This Sunday evening, in the shock of the twelfth day of Serie A, Inter Milan welcomes Naples. The Interists will once again count on their Frenchman Marcus Thuram, in very good shape since the start of the season.

Marcus Thuram has just started his second season in the colors of Inter Milan. For his first time, in 2023-2024, the striker was crowned Italian champion, with a personal record of thirteen goals scored for seven assists delivered in the elite. Since the start of this new national exercise, the French international has maintained its good momentum. After a total of eleven Serie A matches, the Tricolore occupies second place in the ranking of top scorers, with a total of seven goals and also two assists. All competitions combined, the player currently has eight goals in fourteen matches.

Thuram and his ability to cause penalties

A major offensive asset, when approaching the shock of this twelfth day of Serie A, scheduled for this Sunday evening at 8:45 p.m., against Naples, leader. In addition to taking care of his statistics as well as those of his team, Marcus Thuram has an offensive activity that goes well beyond that. So much so that the main person involved has even caused penalties and red cards since the start of this new season. Last year, the French international had already caused no less than five penalties. This season, Thuram has caused two new ones. The first dates back to August 24, against Lecce (2-0), while the second dates from October 27, during a completely crazy draw against Juventus Turin (4-4). Last June, Marcus Thuram gave his own explanation on this subject to : “It's because as a winger, I developed a sense of dribbling and feinting. From now on, I find myself in an axial situation and I can make differences with the ball that others who have spent their entire career in 9 cannot do.” Naples will certainly be on their guard, to try to regain the lead.
