The Samm Sa Kaddu coalition responds to the Pastef party’s complaint against Anta Babacar Ngom for destruction of property belonging to others, intentional injury, violence and assault. According to a press release from the Samm sa Kaddu coalition received at Seneweb, the accusations are false and unfounded.
“The Sàmm Sa Kàddu coalition is surprised by the complaint filed against President Anta Babacar Ngom by the Pastef party under the pretext of false and unfounded accusations. Pastef, which has largely won the prize for political violence, provocation and threats in Senegal, is trying to create a diversion by once again pointing the finger at a leader of the Sàmm Sa Kàddu coalition”, wrote the coalition which will be led in the legislative elections by Barthélémy Dias.
Samm Sa Kaddu also deplored the reprehensible actions of Pastef during this campaign. “The threats issued by the head of the Pastef list in the Dakar department using knives and machetes, the attack on the national headquarters of Sàmm Sa Kàddu in Dakar, the attacks on convoys from Sàmm Sa Kàddu causing material losses and injuries to activists are all acts which still go unpunished despite the various complaints,” adds the press release.
The coalition ends by giving its full support to Anta Babacar Ngom. “Sàmm Sa Kàddu expresses its full solidarity with President Anta Babacar Ngom and draws the attention of national and international opinion to the clearly stated desire of the supporters of the current regime to attack the leaders of Sàmm Sa Kàddu. The coalition Sàmm Sa Kàddu will not give in to any form of intimidation and remains firmly focused on its objective which is the victory of the opposition on the evening of November 17, 2024″, conclude the members of Samm Sa Kaddu.
