Guest of the Grand Rendez-vous Europe 1/Cnews/Les Echos, Benoit Daragon reacted to a tweet from an LFI MP who asserted that Israeli supporters were not attacked in Amsterdam because they were Jewish, but “because that they were racist. An “intolerable” speech for the delegate minister responsible for everyday security.
A tweet that doesn't get through. After the clashes against Israeli supporters in Amsterdam on Thursday, on the sidelines of a League of Nations match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel-Aviv, LFI MP Marie Mesmeur affirmed on X that “these people were not lynched because they were Jewish, but because they were racist and supported genocide.”
An “intolerable” speech
An outing which does not pass muster with the Minister Delegate in charge of Daily Security, Benoit Daragon, who also recalls that these supporters “were attacked because they are Jewish”. Guest of the Grand Rendez-vous Europe 1/Cnews/Les Echos, he reacts to this tweet and points out the “irresponsibility” of the MP “who will have to explain herself to the police and I hope to the courts”.
“I would like to understand what she means by these people? Does that mean that we can legitimize violence against victims simply because they are Israeli, or because they are Jewish? Is that What does she mean? There will come a time when we will have to answer for these comments in court.” And to conclude: “The discourse of rebellious France is intolerable in our country. It is leaving the Republic and firm measures must be taken against these people who no longer represent anyone.”
