: The LFP causes chaos on DAZN

During the day on Saturday, the - and -PSG matches suffered the same fate, namely an interruption of a few minutes due to demonstrations by supporters against the LFP.

The scenes are not unusual for supporters of Ligue 2 clubs, or for those who regularly follow the German championship. On the other hand, Ligue 1 matches had so far been spared from the throwing of tennis balls onto the field in the middle of a match, as a sign of demonstration. This is no longer the case since during the day on Saturday, two matches were interrupted over a short period for this reason. Lens-Nantes, first and Angers-PSG then. In both cases, these numerous throwing of tennis balls on the field were intended to demonstrate against the Professional League.

“Pressure on clubs, scheduling of matches, collective sanctions, disciplinary committee. Your management enrages the stands, thank you LFP” could we read in particular in the stands of the Bollaert stadium during the poster between Lens and Nantes on Saturday at 7 p.m. The messages were essentially the same in Angers when the game against PSG was interrupted. “LFP broadcasters, here’s something to keep you busy for your next two-pronged ideas” could we read in the aisles of the Raymond-Kopa stadium.

A bad image for Ligue 1 and for DAZN

A protest against the broadcasters therefore but above all and above all against the LFP, which made a mess of the posters broadcast by DAZN this Saturday, leaving the commentators in embarrassment when describing the facts. In both cases, demonstrations and discontent were mentioned by the journalists, who however did not refer to the Professional Football League in order to avoid the blunder in full view. In any case, these interruptions will have greatly displeased DAZN, which hopes that this will stop as soon as the international break returns because it would be quite catastrophic for the image of Ligue 1 and its broadcaster if this were repeated every weekend.
