Rodrygo and Lucas Awaiting Tests, Out for 1 Month and 3 Weeks Respectively

Rodrygo Goes and Lucas Vázquez were forced to leave the match against Osasuna early. The Brazilian winger is struggling with a left hamstring issue that could sideline him for a month, while the Spanish full-back has discomfort in his left adductor, which is expected to keep him out of action for around three weeks.

Both players are set to undergo medical examinations next Monday to determine the extent of their respective muscle injuries, which caused them to exit prematurely during the clash against Osasuna, a match in which Éder Militao suffered a severe knee injury.

Militao sustained a “complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament with involvement of both menisci in the right knee,” which is anticipated to keep him sidelined for approximately nine months. In contrast, Rodrygo and Lucas are expected to return sooner.

However, according to club sources relayed to ‘EFE’, there is not much optimism regarding their quick recovery.

In Rodrygo’s case, the left hamstring injury will likely see him absent from the pitch for at least a month, while Lucas’s adductor injury is expected to keep him out for at least three weeks.

This adds to Carlo Ancelotti’s injury woes as he currently has seven players on the treatment table.

Aurélien Tchouaméni is facing a month out due to a left ankle sprain sustained against Milan, while David Alaba and Dani Carvajal are dealing with serious knee injuries. Alaba is nearing the end of his recovery timeline, while Carvajal is expected to be back for the next season. Thibaut Courtois, meanwhile, should return following the international break from a muscular injury.
