Coach Nuri Sahin from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund has no understanding for his captain Emre Can's red card.
“He's never allowed to go there like that. He knows that too,” said Sahin Sky after the 1:3 (1:2) defeat at FSV Mainz 05. The boys are on their last legs,” said Sahin, considering the exhausting weeks and the many failures. Before the foul, the BVB coach saw a “decent game” from his team.
“It was 0-0 and we already had the feeling that we were in control and if the game continues eleven against eleven, we will create chances. The first half hour was okay. The situation is as it is now and we have to deal with it can handle it,” added the Dortmund head coach.
“He's very pissed off”
Julian Brandt saw it similarly after the fourth away defeat in the Bundesliga in a row. “With a full band we could have brought in the energy. The early red card didn't help us. He knows that he has to be a little more careful. He's very upset about his action,” said Brandt, who added: “That's why But we didn't concede the three goals.”
BVB is now ten points behind leaders Bayern Munich. “We don’t need to concern ourselves with Bayern Munich at the moment. We have other issues,” said sports director Sebastian Kehl.
