The heartfelt tribute to those affected by the damage in the preview of the Villarreal-Alavés

The displays of support for those affected by the tragic damage that hit the Community of Valencia continue to be repeated, also in football. In the build-up to Villarreal-Alavés, the La Cerámica stadium was the scene of a heartfelt tribute in which players and fans participated.

As on the previous day, before the ball got rolling, a respectful minute of silence was observed for the victims, broken only by applause. Even with the game already underway, those applauses have continued to be heard. In parallel, several messages addressed to the victims and those affected by the damage could be seen in the stands.

All this, while in the center of the field a huge flag of the Community of Valencia, 18 meters long and 12 meters wide, has been displayed. The players of both teams took to the field wearing support t-shirts with the message “Força València”. The excitement was palpable on the faces of the players, coaches and fans.

It was not the only tribute made with the clothing. Villarreal will play the match wearing a black kit. And the captain, Raúl Albiol, wears a special armband with the senyera of the Valencian Community.
