Borussia Dortmund: Sahin breathes a sigh of relief – BVB coach announces good news

Will the third win in a row follow? After the successes against RB Leipzig (2:1) and Sturm Graz (1:0), Borussia Dortmund wants to go into the international break with another positive result. This is what happens on the 10th Bundesliga matchday against FSV Mainz 05 (November 9th, 3:30 p.m.).

There have been a number of bitter failures at Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks. Before the Mainz game there is finally some good news for BVB. Head coach Nuri Sahin announces the return of two stars.

Borussia Dortmund: Two returnees against Mainz

The personnel situation at Borussia Dortmund is easing a little. Nuri Sahin can look forward to two returns against Mainz. Yan Couto and Julian Ryerson will take part in the final training and could then be in the squad for the Bundesliga game.

Ryerson has been out for the past two weeks with a muscle injury. His absence was clearly noticeable in defense. Sahin had to do without new signing Couto for even longer. Due to a glute injury, Couto has been unavailable for more than a month. Now the Brazilian could celebrate his comeback. “We hope and assume that it should work,” explains Sahin.

Instead, there is not so good news in the goalkeeper position: Gregor Kobel is still training individually, “We don’t want to take any risks there. That’s why he won’t be ready for action again until after the international break against Freiburg,” said Sahin. Nevertheless, the goalkeeper travels to the national team, which surprises the fans.

Anton is still out

Waldemar Anton isn’t quite enough to play for Borussia Dortmund again. The central defender has been out for around two weeks due to a hip injury. There is great hope that he will be available again after the international matches. Otherwise, Ramy Bensebaini is suspended for the game in Mainz with his fifth yellow card.
