A journalist from DAZN, Ligue 1 broadcaster, was targeted by a projectile during the OM-Auxerre match on Friday evening.
Olympique de Marseille was beaten by AJ Auxerre (1-3), Friday evening, at the opening of the eleventh day of Ligue 1. While the Phocéens were trailing by the score (0-3) at the break, a projectile from the stands of the Vélodrome stadium hit Ambre Godillon under the eye. After the match, the broadcaster of the French Championship broke his silence and condemned such an act, and threatened to take legal action.
Godillon “shocked”, DAZN condemns the shameful act
Former PSG TV presenter, Ambre Godillon was the victim of a projectile which hit her under the eye, Friday evening, while OM was trailing 0-3 by AJ Auxerre. An act denounced by the speaker of the Vélodrome, who asked the public to stop throwing projectiles. Questioned at the end of the meeting by her colleague Smaïl Bouabdellah, the journalist explained that she had received “a projectile in the face”. “I don’t really know what to say. A little shocked by that”she added. The day after this act, DAZN broke its silence and is considering legal action to ensure the safety of its employees in Ligue 1 stadiums.
“Friday evening, during the meeting between Olympique de Marseille and AJ Auxerre, our journalist Ambre Godillon was the victim of a projectile. DAZN strongly condemns this intolerable and undignified act. DAZN will take all necessary measures, including legal measures, to guarantee the safety of its teams”said the British streaming platform in a press release.
