An intense rainy episode was forecast for Friday November 8, causing orange alerts in Hérault and Aude. For the latter, vigilance has been lifted but Hérault remains concerned.
In its latest weather report from 6 a.m. this Saturday, November 9, Weather France decided to lift the orange vigilance which affected the Aude department the day before. The department went straight back to green. With Hérault, the department was on orange vigilance for “rain-floods” et “floods”.
Rains corresponding to 3 weeks of November
On the other hand, as far as Hérault is concerned, vigilance goes from orange to yellow. The meteorological agency specifies that “The rains continue this morning in Hérault but are losing intensity”. The Weather Channel also explains that since yesterday evening 54 mm of water has fallen in Saint-Jean-de-Védas, corresponding to 3 weeks of rain in the month of November.
This episode of intense rain should end during the day around the Gulf of Lion. It started late Friday afternoon with numerous storms that continued through the night.
