Breaking news! President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan speaks at the 6th International Women and Justice Summit.
President Erdoğan’s statements are as follows:
History shows us that our world generally changes its shell every 100 years. Today, we are talking about artificial intelligence, unmanned systems and robotic technologies. All these changes bring about differentiation in human expectations of production relations.
We clearly see that digitalization, in addition to its comfort, destroys people’s uniqueness. We live in a time when digital culture, where reality and virtual, perception and reality, lies and truth are replaced, turns people’s perspective upside down.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND WOMEN
Women are in the first place among the victims of artificial intelligence technologies and algorithms. Women are frequently exposed to this ugly face of artificial intelligence in many different media. We can use artificial intelligence to ensure that women have access to equal rights.
There is a need to determine the basic principles that take into account disadvantaged groups in artificial intelligence algorithms and databases. It would be beneficial for KADEM to prioritize this process.
It is not possible for a technology that excludes women and does injustice to them to be beneficial to humanity. We believe that a universal declaration should be signed on this issue before further victimization occurs and the problems become chronic.
“THE SYSTEM WHICH EXCLUDES WOMEN IS INJUSTICE”
It is not possible for a technology that excludes women and does injustice to benefit humanity. The system in which women are excluded from society and politics is injustice.
We have encountered serious obstacles for 22 years. We have come into contact with all kinds of prohibitionist mentality. We have always found opposition in our efforts to give women the rights they should already have. We have removed obstacles in every field, especially in education and working life.
THE RATE OF WOMEN’S PARTICIPATION IN THE LABOR FORCE HAS INCREASED
The female workforce participation rate, which was 27.9 percent in 2002, increased to 37.3 percent by 2024. Our goal is to increase the female workforce participation rate to over 40 percent by the end of 2028. We consider it the primary duty of our state to eliminate inequality between men and women. We aim for the best in the government’s women’s policies. In addition to our vision of the Turkish Century, there is the principle of strong men and women, strong family and society, and strong Türkiye.
“WOMEN ARE MAKING HISTORY IN GAZA”
Wars mostly target women and children. Women in Gaza are literally writing history.
PHONE CALL WITH TRUMP
We expect my dear friend Trump to abandon the faulty policies of the former administration. We drew attention to the massacres in Gaza and Lebanon. We wholeheartedly believe that Mr. President will take responsibility in ending the wars, and we sincerely hope so.
