We owe him a legendary song of French cinema. Unforgettable performer of Douliou douliou Saint-Tropez in the Gendarme saga, Geneviève Grad is dead on the night of Thursday to Friday November 8, 2024. The 80-year-old actress died at the Blois Polyclinic, in Loir-et-Cher, “at the end of a courageous fight against cancer”as revealed by her husband Jean Guillaume.
Born on July 5, 1944 in Paris, Geneviève Grad very quickly wanted to embark on an artistic career. But initially, it was dancing that interested him. Until her adolescence, she was a dancer at the Paris Opera. Cinema, for her, began as a teenager. When she was only 15 years old, she was spotted by Michel Boisrond who offered her the role of Martine Carol's daughter in his son One evening on the beach.
Geneviève Grad played Nicole Cruchot
After several roles on television, in the cinema and in the theater, Geneviève Grad obtained the one that changed her career and made her known to the general public. In the first three parts of the saga of Constableshe in fact played Nicole Cruchot, the daughter of the head marshal Ludovic Cruchot played by Louis de Funès. Igor Bogdanoff “unprepared for his new responsibilities”
It was there that she met Igor Bogdanoff, who was then living at the Château de Saint-Lary. Both aged 26 at the time, they fell in love at first sight.
