Victim of a road accident which occurred on Wednesday November 6, the artist and former Reunion surf champion Justine Mauvin, alias Sibu Manaï, is still hospitalized in a worrying condition.
The world of culture and sport in Reunion is multiplying messages of support for Justine Mauvin, who has become Sibu Manaï on stage.
The 31-year-old artist was the victim of a serious traffic accident which occurred on Wednesday November 6 in the middle of the day on the coastal road, between Grande Chaloupe and La Possession.
According to the first elements of the investigation, it was a metal breakage of a vehicle which was the cause of the accident. The element would have detached from a first vehicle and fallen onto the roadway. Unfortunately, almost an hour later, another vehicle drove over it, throwing the piece of metal into the windshield of the next car, the one occupied by the singer.
According to corroborating sources, the musician is still hospitalized in intensive care in serious condition, her vital prognosis is compromised.
An investigation was opened by the La Possession gendarmerie brigade, in order to determine the causes of this dramatic accident and identify the various vehicles involved as well as their drivers.
Since then, messages of encouragement and speedy recoveries have followed one another on social networks, while the Stella Matutina Museum has announced the postponement of its concert which was scheduled there for next Friday, November 15.
