Several dozen Michelin employees are demonstrating in Vannes (Morbihan), near the automobile supplier's factory which is due to close next year, noted France Bleu Armorique. They have been gathered since 6 o'clock, at the call of the CGT, marching behind a banner “Michelin tires without employees, it's just air“. They also distribute leaflets to motorists.
The deputies Cyrielle Chatelain and François Ruffin, as well as the former candidate for Matignon for the New Popular Front Lucie Castets will visit the employees of the factory in the morning. The CGT is organizing another rally in front of a Michelin site, that of La Combaude, in Clermont-Ferrand, where the group's head office is located on Friday. It is scheduled for 11 a.m.
