In a press release published this Thursday, November 7, the SCNF announces exceptional attendance on Mobigo trains for this three-day weekend.
No less than 22,000 travelers expected
“This year, given the closure of the high-speed line, forecasts predict an even greater influx on these long-distance Mobigo Trains due to the postponement of travelers usually traveling by TGV with nearly 22,000 travelers expected, compared to 16 000 on average. »
“Faced with this exceptional influx, SNCF Voyageurs is setting up at the request of the Burgundy – Franche – Comté Region a special system to strengthen the transport offer and thus offer 6,000 additional places this weekend. »
“Two trains on Saturday, and two return trips on Monday”
“The system provides for the addition of two trains on Saturday, and two return trips on Monday which will complement the usual services, and also double or triple capacity trains to absorb the increased flow of passengers. »
“On Saturday November 9, a Mobigo train service will depart from Paris Bercy every hour between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., for a total of 18 trains: 9 to Morvan and 9 to Dijon and/or Lyon. »
Between 500 and 1,000 places
“Each of the trains will offer between 500 and 1,000 seats to allow all travelers to travel in the best conditions. Furthermore, all of the new high-capacity Régiolis trains available will be in circulation for this occasion, guaranteeing maximum capacity. »
“In addition, a special boarding reception will ensure smooth access for travelers with tickets. Agents at Paris Gare de Lyon, Paris Bercy, Sens, Laroche, Auxerre and Dijon stations will also be heavily mobilized to deal with this exceptional influx during November 8, 9 and 11. »
