Latvian football champion RFS will resume the Eurocup season richer in titles, however, until the next opponent Anderlecht the success of the relatively young club still has a long way to go. “It is very interesting to prepare for a game against such an opponent. Of course, it is a very high class, but we can compete and we will try to do it tomorrow as well,” coach Viktor Moroz said the day before the game. Fans should also prepare seriously, because this time they will have to adapt to the time zone of Western Europe – the game Daugava at the stadium will start at 10 p.m., its live broadcast Go3 Sport Extra.
RFS football players had a productive last week, because during that time the team won its third Latvian Cup and also defended the title of national champion. Perhaps a Belgian football fan could smile at this, putting aside the dozens of trophies won by his national club, including five European cups. True, comparing the first 20 years of the club’s existence, Anderlecht at this stage, they were just starting to blow the air in Belgium’s top league and achieved all the success much later in their rich history. For the last seasons, a team of this size has nothing to be proud of, because in the previous six years the club was far from the fight for titles, but in the spring they finished only in 11th place in the Belgian Pro League. However, this did not prevent them from entering the European League, where this season started perfectly with three successes in the same number of games.
