Alelo allows contactless payment for customers who have Google Pay; see how to enable

Alelo customers can now use their benefits through contactless payment directly from your cell phone. In other words, consumers can add their food voucher card and meal voucher card to their digital wallet, enabling digital payment via approximation via Google Pay. The new feature will be available from this Thursday (7), also including customers who have Alelo's Tudo solution, as long as it has an active status.

The new payment format can be accessed by both the holder and additional users, but the tool only works on Android devices with proximity field communication (NFC) technology. Furthermore, smartwatches can also be used in digital paymentwithout the need for cables or wires.

“As our base is mostly (more than 70%) Android users, we chose Google, a recognized leader, to deliver the democratization of the digitalization of payment methods, in addition to QRCode, already available through Alelo. With this, we will increase the value proposition of our products and expand the possibilities for our customers”, highlights Alelo's commercial director, Pricila Medina, in a note.

In this way, Alelo becomes the first company in which payment methods can only be used within limits established by the institution to launch a digital payment option for using benefit solutions on Google Pay.

To enable the tool contactless digital paymentjust install the Meu Alelo app or the Wallet app, from Google Pay. After including the card details, it will also be possible to use contactless digital payment in establishments that initially have Cielo and Getnet machines (PSRs).
