New setbacks for businessman Doro Gaye: two properties under threat

Doro Gaye, a well-known businessman, is currently in a difficult situation. According to information relayed by Pulse, his property is starting to be seized.

Co-owned with his wife, these assets were seized by the Union of Mutuals-Alliance of Credit and Savings for Production (Um-Acep). This institution is demanding repayment of a loan of around 100 million CFA francs from Doro Gaye. Um-Acep informed the judge of the property foreclosure chamber of this situation.

The situation was examined by a commercial court judge recently. The latter referred the case to an adjudication hearing scheduled for December 10.

The properties affected include a store and an apartment, which could be sold at this hearing. The sale prices were set at 12 million CFA francs for the store and just over 21 million CFA francs for the apartment.

These complications arise while Doro Gaye is already under judicial supervision in connection with another case involving accusations of land fraud amounting to more than one billion CFA francs. This affair earned him a brief incarceration, and he was released on June 28 after committing to repay the amount owed to the civil party as part of an agreement.
