Arsenal stolen?

After Arsenal's defeat to Inter, Mikel Arteta harshly criticizes the refereeing, regretting two major decisions which influenced the match.

After Arsenal's defeat against Inter (1-0) in the Champions League, Mikel Arteta expressed his frustration with the refereeing, which he considers “very difficult to accept”. The Gunners coach believes his team was the victim of questionable decisions, particularly on two key actions: a penalty awarded to Inter after a handball from Mikel Merino and contact between Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer and Merino, which the referee did not sanction.

Arteta “very proud” despite defeat

Despite the result, Arteta said he “very proud” of its players, highlighting their “level of dominance and quality” facing a formidable Italian team. “We deserved to score at least one or two goals”he added, before admitting that the details in the penalty areas make the difference in the Champions League.
