Saint-Exupéry Museum, Casa del Mar… Bensaid visits cultural sites in the provinces of Laâyoune and Tarfaya – Telquel.ma

Mobilizing a total amount of 1.8 million dirhams (MDH) over a total area of ​​more than 540 m², this cultural infrastructure aims to promote reading among younger generations.

Subsequently, the minister and the delegation accompanying him kicked off the construction of the reception center spread over 4,966 m² under the Department of Youth, for an amount of 25 MDH, and whose deadline was The execution is 24 months.

The official delegation also went to the large Mohammed VI media library in Laâyoune, which aims to be one of the high places of culture in the southern provinces, and which meets international standards. Intended for the general public as well as researchers, this cultural structure will offer works relating to different themes to promote culture in the city of Laâyoune.

Likewise, the minister and the accompanying delegation visited the Oum Saad cultural center, which houses a cinema in the wake of the opening of 150 cinemas nationwide as a project that aims to democratize access to cinema at the national level.

In the province of Tarfaya, explanations were provided to Bensaid, who was accompanied by the governor of the province of Tarfaya, Mohamed Hamim, on the project relating to the rehabilitation and restoration of the fortress “Casa del Mar”, recently registered on the national heritage list.

Bensaid and the delegation accompanying him also visited the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Museum, which is very popular with Moroccan and foreign tourists.

The minister and the delegation accompanying him then went to the commune of Tah in the province of Tarfaya, which occupies an important place in the hearts of Moroccans, since this locality is closely linked to the Green March and the recovery of southern provinces of the Kingdom.

In a statement to the press, Bensaid stressed that this visit had made it possible to inquire about a series of cultural projects intended for the development of youth, underlining the commitment, in accordance with the vision of King Mohammed VI, to consolidate the development boom experienced by the southern provinces in all areas, particularly in the cultural field.

In this context, the government official highlighted the boom in development that the region is experiencing, particularly in the province of Tarfaya in the cultural field.

He also focused on the historical monuments found in the province of Tarfaya, citing in this regard the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry museum and the fortress of Casa del Mar listed as national heritage, indicating that the Department of Culture was ensuring to restore and highlight this building of great historical value.

This visit is part of the program of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, which includes a series of field visits to different cities and regions of the Kingdom, in order to learn about the state of infrastructure cultural, including those dedicated to young people.
